Burlesque Feather Headdress

This piece began with the vintage bambi Christmas decoration it excited me so very much that I had to create a world around it. I did just that ! The pink glittery bambi is the focal point. The feathers cascade around it gloriously in pastel colours. The bambi is positioned as if skipping along. Fabric silver stars are poised on thin silver wires if you wished you could change the positioning of these slightly. In the centre just behind the deer is a star made from very light wood.

The base is embellished with green plush fabric artificial flowers and tiny silver stars. It can be worn in any position that you like on your head if you see the pictures it is worn on the top and on the side. It stays on the head in two ways one being a headband that if a little loose it would be secured with hair grips or bobbie pins and the other options I need to discuss with the potential customer whether they prefer a type of clip or an elastic band that goes under the back of the hair (this option may be more suitable for drag queens and wearing a wig) ... PLEASE NOTE THIS PIECE WOULD NOT BE SUITABLE FOR SOMEONE WITH VERY SHORT HAIR IT NEEDS HAIR TO GRIP ON TO. This really is a showstopper and would be ideal for alsorts of events from a day at Ascot ,a rio carnival to a drag queen cabaret not to mention burlesque ! PLEASE NOTE this headdress will be complete in approx. 2 weeks time. If you would like me to attatch an elastic string to the headdress for extra security then please let me know this may be advisable if you are wanting to wear it over a wig.
